INGEO

INGEO

INGEO means “ingredients of the earth” (from IN = ingredients and GEO = earth).
Ingeo is ,in fact, a family of low carbon dioxide emission polymers and 100% obtained from annually renewable resources, such as maize or other vegetal sugars used in the production of plastics and fibers.
Because of its natural origin, ingeo is completely biodegradable and recyclable, it can be reused as a raw material, or, in case of missed recycle, it is dissolved with zero environmental impact . Ingeo has also functional costs and performance able to compete with petroleum-derived fibers ones.
This highly versatile fiber can assume different aspects depending on the manufacturing : it can be similar to cotton, silk or other fabrics. Ingeo is practical, fire-resistant, soft to the touch and hypoallergenic. It offers great comfort and optimal hygroscopic and insulating properties, facilitating the transpirability of the body.
